 Rural Delivery

If you have a Rural Delivery (RD) address:
On the 1st of March, 2012 NZ Post added a $2.80 charge for all tracked RD parcels and bags. I was thinking long and hard about this but I don't have another option than passing this on to my rural customers. I live in a RD address myself and I know how much pain this is.
Please make sure if you have an RD delivery address to select the appropriate shipping country on your order. We will not deliver orders to RD addresses if the shippingcost haven't been calculated properly and this will delay your order. Sorry I hate being that strict but that's how it is.

If you have another option to have your order sent to a non-RD address (we often use our friendly local RD1 store) then please enter this into the shipping address fields. Please contact us if you want to discuss shipping options.

This is a complete set to get you started with making cheese. It contains:

  • A 800 gm Cheese mould
  • 1 meter of mutton cloth
  • A stainless steel dial thermometer which clips onto your pot
  • 50ml of vegetable rennet
  • A 3ml syringe for measuring the rennet
  • A vial of cheese starter culture (enough for up to 200 litres of milk/20 kg of cheese)

All you need is some basic kitchen utensils, a pot which can take the amount of milk you want to use and some time.

  • we do not repackage our cultures. You need a sterile environment to safely re-package cheese making bacteria. Our cultures come directly from the manufacturer and will be send to you unopened and using the fastest shipping method.
  • we don't have our cultures lying around in a shop. We store our cultures in a freezer as soon as they have arrived. We have licensed food premises and your cultures come out of the freezer and will be send directly to you.

  • we do not sell waterpipes as cheese making moulds. Water pipes although being food safe for water collection are not safe to be used for food production.
